Puhoi Valley Apple Pudding with Salted Caramel

Indulge, just a little this winter with a scrumptious apple pudding and a delicious dollop of our decadent Puhoi Valley Salted Caramel Greek Yoghurt. 


  • For the Cake
  • 3 Granny Smith Apples
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 125g castor sugar
  • 125mL milk
  • 100g butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • Pinch of salt
  • For the sauce:
  • 50g brown sugar
  • 60mL golden syrup
  • 125mL water
  • 1 tablespoon butter


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 and prepare a baking dish.

  2. Peel, core and dice the apples. Spread evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.

  3. Combine sifted flour, baking powder, caster sugar, milk, melted butter and eggs in a bowl and beat together with an electric mixer until you have a smooth batter.

  4. Spread the batter over the apples.

  5. In a small saucepan combine all the sauce ingredients, simmering gently until you have a golden sauce. Pour over the batter in the baking dish.

  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the top is golden brown. Carefully remove from the oven and serve with a generous spoonful of Puhoi Authentic Greek Salted Caramel Yoghurt.
