Porridge (using Jumbo Rolled Oats)


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Jumbo rolled oats
  • 2 cups Puhoi Valley Half & Half*
  • Pinch Flaky sea salt
  • Suggested topping Dried mixed fruit, chopped
  • Suggested topping Ground nutmeg or cinnamon for sprinkling

Method

  1. *(or a combination 1 cup Half & Half & 1 cup water).

  2. Place oats in a bowl and cover with cold water. Cover bowl, place in the refrigerator and leave to sit overnight.

  3. Remove from the refrigerator and place soaked oats in a heavy-based saucepan with the Puhoi Valley milk and salt. Place on the heat and bring up to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 7 minutes until creamy.

  4. Serve topped with chopped mixed dried fruit and sprinkled with ground nutmeg or cinnamon. Pour over extra Puhoi Valley Half & Half if needed.
