Steel Cut Oats


  • 1 cup Steel-cut oats
  • Pinch Flaky sea salt
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • Suggested serving Puhoi Valley Half & Half Milk
  • Suggested topping Dried coconut shaving, toasted if you prefer
  • Suggested topping Dried blueberries, lightly crushed


  1. Place the steel-cut oats, salt, water and honey in a heavy-based saucepan. Bring up to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. Serve with Puhoi Valley Half & Half and top with the coconut and blueberries.

  3. Tip – any leftover porridge can be stored in a covered container in the refrigerator. Reheat with a little Puhoi Valley Half & Half.
