1. Empty the wine into a pot.
2. Cut the orange in quarters, squeeze the juice into the pot then drop the orange quarters into the wine.
3. Add the cinnamon sticks, star anise, cloves and maple syrup to pot and stir.
4. Gently bring the wine to a simmer but don’t allow to boil.
5. Serve in heat-safe glasses with sliced orange and cinnamon sticks.
6. Perfectly paired with Puhoi Valley Kawau Style Blue.
